Thanks to intelligent management, our drivers play an important part in the energy transition: If charging takes place at home, it happens precisely during the periods when it makes the most sense, in accordance with network optimization, and not immediately when the car is plugged into the wallbox. This process is known as smart charging and can take place at the driver's home throughout Germany using green electricity or at the company site as so-called load management. In this way, our customers contribute to increasing the share of renewable energies in their electricity supply. This also reduces the necessary investments for the otherwise cost-intensive grid expansion. In addition to contributing to the energy transition, customers also benefit from lower, uniform electricity tariffs.
