EVUM Motors is the spin-off of a visionary research project at the Technical University of Munich. Based on the basic idea of building a simple, robust, all-electric commercial vehicle for Africa and other emerging markets, the company with its headquarters in Munich and production facility in Bayerbach near Ergoldsbach in Lower Bavaria was founded in August 2017. 

Highlights of the aCar include the all-electric four-wheel drive, the compact dimensions, the external 230 V socket, the spacious interior, the payload of 1 tonne as well as the towing capacity of 1 tonne (braked) and, above all, the economic benefits. The vehicle is listed in the BAFA and thus eligible for subsidies. In addition, the robust and durable construction and the low-maintenance electric drive reduce operating costs.
